What is WhatsApp Catalog?

WhatsApp Catalog is Meta's product catalog feature that lets businesses showcase products directly in WhatsApp. When synced with Harvenci, your products appear in your WhatsApp Business profile.

Automatic Sync

WhatsApp Catalog sync is automatic when you have a connected WhatsApp number. No additional setup required.

What Gets Synced

  • Product name
  • Product description
  • Price
  • Product images (up to 10 per product)
  • Product availability status
  • Product link (to your store)

Sync Frequency

  • • Products sync when created or updated
  • • Batch sync runs periodically to catch any missed updates
  • • Images are processed and optimized for WhatsApp requirements

Image Requirements

WhatsApp has specific requirements for catalog images:

Image Specifications

  • • Format: JPEG or PNG
  • • Minimum size: 500x500 pixels
  • • Maximum size: 4096x4096 pixels
  • • Maximum file size: 8MB
  • • Square images (1:1) recommended for best display

Automatic Optimization: Harvenci automatically resizes and optimizes images to meet WhatsApp requirements before syncing.

Monitor your catalog sync status from the store's Sync History tab.

Product Eligibility

Not all products can be synced to WhatsApp. Meta has policies about what can be in catalogs.

  • Digital products (with some restrictions)
  • Services
  • Food items

Prohibited Items

  • • Weapons and ammunition
  • • Adult products
  • • Tobacco and vaping products
  • • Prescription drugs
  • • Counterfeit goods
  • • Certain regulated products

Troubleshooting

Product not appearing in catalog

  • • Check product is active (not draft or archived)
  • • Ensure product has at least one image
  • • Verify price is set
  • • Wait for sync to complete (check Sync History)

Sync failed error

  • • Check error message in Sync History for details
  • • Product may violate Meta commerce policies
  • • Image may not meet requirements
  • • Description may contain prohibited content

Images not showing

  • • Ensure images are uploaded (not just linked)
  • • Check image size meets requirements
  • • Wait for image processing to complete

Meta Business Suite

You can also view and manage your catalog directly in Meta Business Suite.

Accessing Your Catalog

  1. 1. Go to business.facebook.com
  2. 2. Select your Business Portfolio
  3. 3. Navigate to Commerce → Catalogs
  4. 4. Select your WhatsApp catalog

Note: Editing products directly in Meta Business Suite may be overwritten by Harvenci sync. Make changes in Harvenci instead.
